I’ve been in business for myself or with friends/family since I was 17 years old running my “Piano Lessons On Wheels” business. I’ve worked in small to medium-sized businesses and been involved in every department you can imagine. I’ve seen many ideas begin and never cross the finish line. After working for others for almost 15 years, my wife and I decided it was time to “own our own destiny” and we started a business together and have never looked back. It’s been a great 6 years (’22) and we look forward to many more.
Jacob Irving – My Story
My wife and I were high-school sweethearts and have been married for a wonderful 20 years now and are blessed with 8 wonderful children (7 boys and 1 princess). I did the school thing and realized it wasn’t for me when my professors simply started trying to sell different IT systems, none of which had real practical application in the small/mid-size business world. I’m a lifelong learner who enjoys understanding the application of pure principles and I try to make a difference each day in some way, whether small or large.
I bring my Strategic strength (Clifton) and my passion for systems to everything I tackle. What’s more important? People or systems? We can debate that off-line if you’d like, but what I know is that a good system supports the people who work within it and empowers them to open up their creativity and find new and exciting ways to serve those around them. To me, the purpose of any venture is to help team members and customers find fulfillment. True riches and value can only be found when you’re serving others.
